Letter to Member; COVID-19 (20 March 2020)

March 20, 2020

Dear Member and Friends

The Chamber has been monitoring the evolving situations with COVID-19, noting that no cases have been notified for the Armidale Region so far.
We are endeavouring to balance the advice of the experts as well as the program for members and others for the next 3 months. We will, of course, keep you advised of changes as they occur

All meetings or proposed meetings of members, or events in their present format have been cancelled.

We are looking to produce webinars and virtual meetings, as well as other means, to best serve our members. We will keep you advised of developments in that regard.

In the meantime, we ask that you support your local businesses as much as possible. As you know, the last year has been tough enough. Now we need to work together to keep businesses in Armidale alive and well.

The panic buying seen in Sydney and elsewhere has extended to Armidale. We urge all members of the public not to hoard in the manner seen so far, and to demonstrate restraint to ensure that there is enough food and essentials for everyone.

Kind Regards,

Anthony

President
