With entries to the Chamber Business Awards now closed, the hard part of the process begins for the Chamber’s judges, who must now select winners from many dozens of brilliant local business.
Among the 2016 judges will be Regional Australia Bank who – as sponsor of the Business Leader of the Year Award – will be assessing entries for standout men and women in our business community.
“The Business Leader Award recognises the local business people whose leadership, vision and strength make a difference,” comments Kevin Dupé, Chief Executive Officer for Regional Australia Bank.
“Recent winners, including Gayle Kee of TG’s Childcare, Roger Bourke of Moxons Bakery and Rob Taber, New England Solar have been recognised as ‘local treasures’ who have inspired many in our midst: including their customers, employees and, importantly, broader groups in the community,” he said.
Regional Australia Bank will in 2016 be the Chamber’s ‘newest and oldest’ sponsor. The Bank has been associated with the Chamber Awards for several years under its former name New England Mutual. This year, the group is supporting the Awards under its new brand, Regional Australia Bank.
“We’ve been helping Regional Australians for almost 50 years now – so our new name is both a reflection – and a sign of our continued commitment! – of our commitment to supporting the prosperity of local communities,” comments Kevin.
“That’s why Regional Australia Bank is participating in the Chamber Business Awards – and we, along with all the entrants from Armidale, Guyra and Walcha, will be looking forward to naming, on Friday September 9, our Business Leader of the Year for 2016.”
Entries to the Chamber Business Awards are now closed. Finallists in all categories will be announced well ahead of the Gala Awards Evening on Friday September 9. For further details – or to book for the Gala Awards event - visit armidalechamber.com.au.
