June 2, 2020

Dear Member / Friend,

The State Government has announced today that from Saturday 13 June 2020, further businesses can open, and  some recreational activities can take place:

  • fitness, gymnasiums, Pilates, yoga and dance studios can reopen with up to 10 people per class and 100 people in an indoor venue
  • community centres, including their recreational facilities can reopen
  • tattoo and massage parlours can reopen with up to 10 clients
  • some indoor recreational facilities including pools and saunas can reopen with restricted numbers

These changes are of course subject to the 4 square metre and social distancing rules.

Children’s sport and community sport, for under 18 years, will be able to restart from 1 July 2020
The NSW Minister for Health said today that sport and businesses will need to do things differently from pre-COVID-19 times. Allowing a restart on 1 July allows organisers of the sport time to work through the changes.

The advisers are based in both metropolitan and regional areas. 5 of them have a background in tourism. The advisers are able to connect businesses to the support available from the NSW Government. With the additional 40 advisers Business Connect will have more than 120 advisers. Regardless of the industry you are in if you would like to contact them call 1300 134 359.

All the best. Stay safe, stay distant.
